BILD announces the best of the best in renovation and custom building

Greater Toronto, Feb. 23, 2010 - The winners of the 2010 BILD Renovation and Custom Building Awards ascended to the podium on Friday, February 19 as the building industry kicked off the National Home Show at Exhibition Place, Toronto.

The competition was extremely close in every category, particularly Best Renovation Under $75,000, with Capoferro Design Build Group and Carick Home Improvements each walking away with their well-deserved trophies.

Northern Edge Construction received two awards this year, one for Best Renovation $75,000 to $150,000 as well as Best Renovation over $300,000. Sandwiched in-between, Capoferro Design Build Group notched a second trophy for Best Renovation, $150,000 to $300,000.

Fourteen Estates Ltd. was recognized for its exceptional construction work with a Best Custom Home award.

The final and most prestigious award for Renovator of the Year went to Sandra Baldwin of A.Lifetime Contractor Ltd. The Renovator of the Year Award is bestowed on the renovator who sets the standard for the rest of the renovation sector by their leadership in improving the overall image of the renovation industry. It speaks to quality, service and industry leadership, and Sandra Baldwin epitomizes all three.

"The judges had a very, very difficult time this year resulting in close competition in every category but ultimately, someone has to be the best of the best," said BILD President and CEO Stephen Dupuis. "On behalf of BILD, I offer my sincerest congratulations to all of this year's winners."
