Statement from BILD on Continuous Improvement of the Building Process
November 17, 2011 (Greater Toronto, ON) - The Building Industry and Land Development Association (BILD) and its members are proud of the homes and communities that they build for homebuyers across the Greater Toronto Area every day.
All builders in the province must build in accordance with the Ontario Building Code. Ontario has rigorous engineering, design, and inspection processes that govern the approval of construction projects and buildings.
BILD actively supports the continuous improvement of the building process by participating in the reviews of the Ontario Building Code; informing members of new engineering, energy efficiency, architectural and community design standards and best practices; and respecting the municipal inspection process.
BILD supports dialogue between the public, consumers, and industry members regarding the construction process, so that consumers can continue to have confidence in the homes and communities that the industry is building.
Through the principle of continuous improvement, BILD will continue to work with government and regulatory bodies as new standards are developed and has committed to supporting and educating its members as they continue to build a Greater GTA.
BILD Acting President Joe Vaccaro was invited to speak on the John Tory radio show on November 15, 2011. Click HERE to listen.
With more than 1,350 members, BILD, formed through the merger of the Greater Toronto Home Builders' Association and Urban Development Institute/Ontario, is the voice of the land development, home building and professional renovation industry in the Greater Toronto Area. BILD is proudly affiliated with the Ontario and Canadian Home Builders' Associations.
