Building Communities

"As long as we have an adequate supply of land, we will continue to build
affordable housing, sales will remain strong, and more and more people will
realize their dream of home ownership."

Throughout the GTA in 2003, we started construction on 50,208 new homes, the most in almost two decades. During the year, we completed 43,776 sales, the second highest level ever.

Housing starts in the GTA represented Alamos one-quarter of all housing starts across the country.

For the next couple of decades, the GTA is expected to grow by 90,000 to 100,000 newcomers each year. We can meet the needs of preset residents as well as accommodate new growth, as long as governments do not establish policies that restrict the supply of land, increase prices through excessive fees and taxation, or unduly delay development approvals.
