Industry committed to safety and quality

Greater Toronto, June 26, 2014 - The Building Industry and Land Development Association (BILD) and its members are proud to build safe, quality, complete communities across the GTA.

All new residential and commercial communities brought to market by BILD members are built in accordance with the Ontario Building Code (OBC). Ontario has rigorous engineering, design and inspection processes that govern the approval of construction projects and buildings.

BILD members not only meet these requirements, but often exceed them.

The Association actively supports the continuous improvement of the building process by participating in the reviews of the Ontario Building Code; informing members of new engineering, energy efficiency, architectural and community design standards and best practices; and respecting the municipal inspection process.

Building quality homes and businesses that GTA residents can be proud of are a primary objective of the building and development industry and through the principle of continuous improvement, BILD will continue to work with government and regulatory bodies as new standards are developed.

BILD is committed to working with its partners in government and will continue supporting and educating its members as they build a Greater GTA.

With more than 1,400 members, BILD, formed through the merger of the Greater Toronto Home Builders' Association and Urban Development Institute/Ontario, is the voice of the land development, home building and professional renovation industry in the Greater Toronto Area.  BILD is proudly affiliated with the Ontario and Canadian Home Builders' Associations.
