Member information on COVID-19: your weekly summary
February 12, 2021
As you know, BILD is currently following its COVID-19 communications protocol, which includes regular email updates and a special COVID-19 section on the BILD website with all developing news and information.
For your convenience, here is a BILD/OHBA summary of this week's updates, as referenced in the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing's CODENEWS, issue 311, and related links:
As of Wednesday, Feb. 10, all residential construction projects and related construction activities and services, including residential renovations across Ontario, are allowed to commence and continue.
This applies to residential construction in public health unit regions in a Shutdown Zone and in public health unit regions that are subject to the COVID-19 Response Framework.
Restrictions on non-residential activities are still in effect in public health unit regions in a Shutdown Zone. Under Schedule 7, Subsection 40 of O.Reg. 82/20, once a public health unit region has been moved to the COVID-19 Response Framework, there will be no restrictions on construction activities.
Amendments have been made to O. Reg 82/20: Rules for Areas in Stage 1 under the Reopening Ontario (A Flexible Response to COVID-19) Act.
