Renovator Agenda Update - Education
The Education & Professional Development Committee has prepared a report on
the existing Renovation Specific training available and what other jurisdictions are
doing for certifications.

Electrical Safety
Home Safe has 2 sayings:
1. If you had an electrical hazard in your home, wouldn’t you want to know about it?
2. Faulty wires cause fires. We stress the importance of thinking about your
electrical system when you A. live in an older home B. Are experiencing flickering
lights, tripped breakers, burning smells, shocks, arcs or have things that look
unsafe etc. C. are renovating and will be re-wiring and adding to your existing
system. Nothing lasts forever, including your electrical panel, breakers, plugs etc.
